Background and activities
The Advanced Ceramics and Composites Laboratory of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos", was founded in 1990. Since that time it has grown and is now active in a wide range of scientific and technological fields of international impact with emphasis on the development of Space exploration technologies in collaboration with leading European Institutions and companies.
