Ceramic-matrix
ACCL carries out research on a range of ceramics-matrix composites including fibre-toughened ceramics and ceramic-metal layered structures. While fibre-toughened composites are isotropic, ceramic-metal layered composites are designed to be used in cyclindrical structures, such as combustion chambers, as shown in the Poster for the Pulcher project.
